  • Windows doesn't recognize Radeon HD6310 in AsRock E350M1/USB3

    My system is as follows:
    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
    AsRock E350M1/USB3 APU motherboard
The MoBo has an integrated APU-chip that has AMD Dual-Core Processor E350/E350D and Integrated AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics
60GB OCZ Agility III 2.5" SSD
    4GB (1x 4096MB) G.Skill NT Series DDR3-1333 DIMM RAM

The problem is that Windows doesn't recognize the integrated graphics at all. It only displays a standard VGA-video driver under device manager. It will also only allow a resolution of up to 1400x1050, which is really unacceptable for HTPC for a 1080p television. Graphical performance is also really poor, and 1080p-video can't really be played at all.

I have installed, removed and tried re-installing drivers for the Radeon from both directly from AMD and also the ones AsRock provides specifically for this board on their support site. The AMD Catalyst installation program does find the radeon and the log says after installation, that installation was successful. But the problem remains that Windows refuses to acknowledge the existence of the integrated Radeon graphics.

    Any ideas?
