  • overclocking

I recently built my first computer. I installed an ASUS M4A87TD EVO mb, NVIDIA GTX570 graphics card, AMD Phenom II cpu, 16 GB's of RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate. I keep hearing about overclocking and ways to tune your system. Where can I get comprehensive information on how to best perform these operations? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Re: overclocking

This is not the ASUS post, its ASrock motherboard post.

ASUS on most boards have a overclocking utility, that make it easy to overclock the CPU, you should use that.

If you really want to know a lot, then you use google, put in your motherboard- CPU overclocking on ASUS M4A87TD EVO, you will get tons of hits, with people who have found some good numbers on voltage and settings.

Your memory will by default will underclock, so you want to at lest bring it up to its clock, what ever it is.
