ASRock Z77 Extreme 6 boot quirk

I recently built a system with an ASRock Z77 Extreme 6 motherboard and a GTX 670 video card. It seems to work fine, though I've noticed that on starting Windows, right before the login screen, my monitor goes black and seems to lose signal temporarily, then the image comes back with the login screen.

The white rectangular box is a message from my monitor saying "No Signal".

Is this normal behavior for the motherboard/GPU?

I also have this board and evga 670FTW and mine dont do that
