NIC amber activity/link led stays on after shut-down
Hi Guys,
Something is really annoying me. I just setup a new motherboard (Asrock Fatality z77 Performance). I noticed that when I shutdown the system the amber/orange activity/link led of the NIC stays on. (Probably) Because of this the according router port stays active too.
I suspected that Wake on Lan had something to do with this, so i disabled everthing regarding WOL but to no avail. The amber led stays on after shutdown.
The stupid thing is that when the system is put into sleep, the NIC (and amber led) is off. Maybe a win7 or driver issue?
Does anybody know how to power down the NIC completly after shutdown (as in sleepmode).
