Copying from Imation 16Gb Flash card stops and just keeps calculating

When trying to copy from a Imation 16Gb Flash card to a internal hard drive, it stops after about 8 seconds and just keeps calculating, never successfully coping any files unless they are very small files...
Is this a AsRock 990FX Extreme 4 USB problem using Windows 7 Ultimate?

What make and model number is your flash card reader?
Have you tested every usb port on your system?
Does windows -> properties -> tools -> Error Checking work for your flash card?
Have you tried using your Imation flash card on another computer?
Have you tested with another flash card or usb drive?
Have you tired copying files from your hard drive to any flash cards?

Imation Nano Pro 16Gb

Have you tested every usb port on your system?
On front Usb3.0 ports & side with usb2.0 ports
on the Usb3.0 ports no files will show.

Does windows -> properties -> tools -> Error Checking work for your flash card?
No errors using the laptop with XP,
but stops processing after "157 files processed" on the Asrock Extreme 4 w Win 7 Ultimate
Computer not locked up, cpu keeps processing w/o any progress

Have you tried using your Imation flash card on another computer?
Works perfectly on my laptop with WinXp

Yes to the Imation Nano Pro 16Gb, seems to copy TO ok, just not from

It sounds like your usb 3.0 ports don't work with your flash drive, might be a driver issue.
Your usb 2.0 ports seem to partially work, up to a point, when copying files from the flash drive to your hard drives.
It sounds like your XP laptop doesn't have any problems.

Other than testing with a different flash drive, I don't have additional suggestions for your AMD system.
There might be some bios settings that affect usb operation, but I'm not familiar with your system.
Hopefully other forum members can help.

Got a copy of Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and scanned the flash with the laptop at Extended Test, which checks for bad sectors, much better program then checkdisk with windows.

Too many bad sectors to repair! Yikes! Guess I need a new flash, worn out?
