I have been working on this rig and can not get it to pass the A2 code (IDE detect) i am not using any ide devices have tried to different drive, ram , cpu's andstill the same thing can any one help?

Have you tried to boot with a minimal hardware setup; mouse, keyboard, 1 ram module, IGP monitor connection?

ok after some more playing and using onboard video i have the os installed. but now i can not get video through my gtx295 is there a jumper to allow for pci e to be used?Comment

Check your mobo user manual for video settings in the bios where you select your graphics card as the primary video device.
