I recently purchased an AsRock FATAL1TY Z77 motherboard and have so far been impressed with it, however I have been unable to get two IDE DVD drives to be correctly detected by the BIOS. When I have both drives configured for "cable select" the BIOS will only find the master drive and when I manually set one drive to "master" and the other to "slave" the BIOS only detects the slave drive. Both drives work fine in my Gigabyte P55A-UD3 motherboard. Has anyone had this issue before or do I need to RMA my board?

Re: IDE Not working FATAL1TY Z77
I have the exact same problem with my Asrock Fatal1ty Z68 Pro. I have like 5 or 6 different DVD burners and spent days trying to get two to work and finally got two to play together. I noticed that the two that work both have the same DMA number. My other two burners with different DMA ratings I have on a PCI controller card which work fine.
