  • Enabling usb ports

I've a Z68 Extreme7 Gen3 board in a Fractal-Design R3 case. The case has 3 usb ports on top, 1 supports usb3, the other 2 are usb2. Issue is that plugging in the cable from the case to the usb3 port on the MB only enables the usb3 connection, not the 2 usb2 ports. Of course, the cable from the case only fits the usb3 connection.

Is this a case design issue, or the mb? Is there something in bios I'm not seeing to enable the mb to support all 3 ports on the case or what?

I've an inquiry to Fractal-Design as well and still waiting to hear back.

    Thanks

    Re: Enabling usb ports

How many pins has the connector which you connect to the USB 3 port?
It should have a separate USB 2 connector because USB 2 and USB 3 connectors are different. Maybe it has an additional cable in accessories to connect USB 2 ports.
