ASROCK FATA1TY Z68 vs Z77

In the market for ivybridge motherboards. I saw the z68 fatal1ty can support ivybridge thru bios updates. I also saw the z77 pro fatal1ty (not performance and not m) and its looks nice and it was designed for the ivybridge. However one thing I didn't like was that there's no VGA port. However does the hdmi port or display port support a converter to VGA, or not? If not then z68 for me lol

a converter should work,after all its only a cable,you could use hdmi to vga converter all it needs to carry is the picture signal no sound

Just to confirm, since there is a displayport on the z77 fatalty professional board, I can use a dvi and/or hdmi adapter, similar to the ones evga bundles with their gtx 580 or 680 to hookup a VGA only monitor with DVi or hdmi output of the motherboard.

Also I realize that the extreme z77 will come with a Bluetooth and wifi card bundled with the front panel USB 3.0 tray, will the fatalty have something similar. It would kinda be a shame not to have one understandable at the least.

Wooh. No way! Where does it say that Z77 Extreme# come with bluetooth and wifi card? I looked at all the Extreme series and no where does it say it comes with it. I don't really like the Extreme series. Some of the components they use on it have problems some times(from threads I read). I'm thinking about getting the Professional MOBO. =]

HOLY MOLY! Only the extreme 9 has that! Dude I bet Extreme 9 is going to be expensive! xD

my asus board has bluetooth,its very handy transfering your pictures/data from your phone to your pc without having to hook up cables ect
