    Hi All,

    I like to ask, about the motherboad itself stated as GEN3 board, but i get GEN3 graphic card, but seem like the system detect as GEN2 and not GEN3?

    Even I crossfire, its show as GEN 2 8x 8x ?

    My Spec

    Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
    Intel I5 2500K
    Kingston 4GB 1333 x 4
    SAPPHIRE HD 7770 1GB x2
    Aerocool Xstrike 800Ws
    Corsair 120GB SSD
    Western Digital 2TB Harddisk
    Seagate 1TB Harddisk
    Samsung 1.5TB Harddisk
    Xigmatek agerad II

    Hi, the PCIE 3 won't work until Ivy bridge CPU is released in a month or so time. The PCIe lanes are fixed and so you will still get x8 x8 even with Gen 3, the difference is the bandwidth or data rate will increase due to the new GEN 3 encoding of data which is more efficient. So to clarify, Gen 3 PCIe doesn't give you wider lanes, it gives you higher data rate on those lanes. You can't get access to PCIe 3 until ivy bridge is released. Obviously that means another CPU change for you and for me.
