I just built this machine and there is a noticeable screeching, what sounds like data noise coming from the machine anytime I use the web. It's as if you can hear the data streaming into the computer. Also, the CPU fan is INSANELY loud when playing games. I set the fan speeds in the BIOS down from the max but of course it will speed up when playing the game. Should I remove the stock heatsink that came with the CPU and get something else? What model would you recommend? My friend is giving me theCooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler, RR-B10-212P-G1 as the research I've done says that will work on my board...but will it WORK if you catch my drift. My CPU is the AMD FX-8150 8 Core 3.6ghz processor.

Re: Two Issues - Noise and Fan Noise Fatality 990FX Motherboard
Stock cooler is loud. The noises from the speakers are interference between the sound chip and some other chip/PCI/PCI-E/HDD/SSD card(s).
(sometimes mouses can cause noises too, the power supply too)
Buy some aftermarket cooler and rebuild your PC.
