Crossfire installation on ASRock X79 Extreme4

My board is actually en route from Newegg, so my questions may be premature.

1) Per the instructions, two graphics cards in crossfire would be installed into the pcie slot 1 and slot 3, but oddly there is no extended crossfire bridge shown to be included. What is the solution since slot 1 and 3 are more separated than a traditional configuration supported by a normal length crossfire bridge?

2) Pcie slot 3 and slot 4 are spaced for a traditional length crossfire bridge, but will they run at x16 x16 electrical in a two card configuration? This would avoid the extended crossfire bridge problem, I assume.

why cant you use the two closest slots? as in the narrowest ? the the bridge will reach,did you try it anyway? just to rule it out?

How do you confirm the closest slots are running at x16, x16 electrical?

Make sure that you spend a little more and buy an ssd that uses synchronous NAND memory.

i would read this thread too,it lists all the ssd's that use superior synchronous nand,and its up to date

Oh. That looks like a big deal. I was zeroing in on two OCZ Agility 3's for a RAID 0 configuration by coincidence, but that was sheer luck they were synchronous. Good to know what I'm looking for. Two weeks 'til payday. I'm hoping to break the sound barrier with those two on SATA III ports in RAID. Kiss the hard drive bottleneck goodbye. Happy days.

the agility 3 uses asynchronous,its not so good,vertex 3 use synchronous nand which is better

asynchronous drives = inferior performance.
synchronous drives = superior performance.
