    Cold boot from remote/CIR

    Hello,
    Several Gigabyte builds, decided for new HTPC to switch to ASRock Z68 PRO3-M, upcoming build in sig, parts on the way.

    I ordered the ASRock remote/CIR receiver. Will this enable me to cold boot the HTPC?

    I guess if it doesn't work I can get the Simerac IR switch and wire it in the case.

      BTW with the ASRock IR receiver I can now cold boot from remote.
