X79 Extreme4 MB - behaves like a car on low battery, doesn't 'start'

Hi,

trying putting together X79 Extreme4, i7-3930K (3.2Ghz), 16GB RAM (4x Corsair Venegeance CL9 DDR3 modules), 2 x Graphics (GTX580), 1200W PSU Aksas and the thing just won't even go up to BIOS.

When I power up - through on/off on MB - things start-up (fans start to run) but then the entire thing powers down after about 1 sec, all goes quiet, then automatically tries to power up again, fans start running, powers down.

Any ideas??

What is the debug LED code just before it tries to reboot?
Do you have a case speaker connected to the motherboard's speaker pins?

Try booting with a minimal hardware setup:

• only 1 memory module installed
• only 1 video card installed
• keyboard
• mouse

Disconnect all hardware that isn't needed for booting into the bios.

If your motherboard is installed in the computer case, remove the motherboard and set it on a cardboard box beside your case.
Do NOT put the anti-static bag under your motherboard.

You might have a bad memory module.
Can you test with another power supply?
Don't assume that any of the hardware components are OK, even if they are all brand new.
