I new at this, and probably my first ever post on a tech forums so forgive my lack of intellect.
I play RTS(real time stratagy) pretty heavily, every frame counts, so even when i lag or stutter for 1-3 seconds that's time i need. My old processor was damaged trying to put it back inside the placement. Ended up buying a new motherboard and Processor.I've done numerous things to speed up my performance, cd drivers, graphic card drivers, performace, defrag, disk clean-up hoping that it would fix my skipping issue. I don't just skip in my mmo's, i skip/lag on my desktop and on web pages too. Freezing for a good ammount of time "Waiting for cache"! . I could be doing anything and it will freeze for that long and continue where it left off 1-14 seconds later.
- Completely Wiped my HDD
- Installed windows 7
