P67 Extreme4 Gen3 BSOD on Windows Install

When I run the windows installer it flashes a BSOD then reboots immediately. I tried resetting the cmos / factory defaults but still no dice. Tried doing a UEFI upgrade(although it was shipped with the latest version).

No idea what is wrong because every linux and freebsd livecd i have works just fine and is able to install a usable system. It also passes memtest just fine.

EVGA GTX 260

It's impossible to read it as it restarts instantly after it flashes onto the screen. No logs are saved since it is an installer DVD.

Alright, I got a screenshot of the BSOD and the error code is 0x7B, or inaccessible boot device. This is strange because the DVD is the boot device...

How far into the installation are you getting before the 7B? Generally that code is resolved by running chkdsk /r /f on the hdd, replacing the storage driver, correcting the active partition, or rewriting the mbr - all of which assume you're getting the stop code when the unit looks for an hdd. If you're getting that code when searching for the ODD then I'm at a loss, I've never seen that before. What ATA configuration are you using, did you install the F6 floppy driver prior to installing Windows?

is your dvd rom drive a sata or ide drive? if ide makesure your set to ide in the bios
