High Latency Issues with Asrock H61M-VS

I have just brought a new PC for music production the specs are :

Asrock H61M-VS Motherboard
Intel Core i7 - 2600 3.4Ghz
8 Gig Ram
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 External USB Soundcard.


I have been experiancing audio drop outs when the system is under no strain at all and after searching to find possible causes I have updated all the drivers for everything and am using DPC latency Checker and LatencyMon to try and locate the fault.

I have updated the bios to the latest version but the probelem remains .
It seems to be worse when any internet usage is going on and if i disable the onboard network card it seems to run smoothly.
The thing is ive updated the drivers for the network card and it hasnt helped and even tried using 2 different usb wireless dongles instead and although they are not as bad they still cause high latency.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Tried disabling eist,c1e and c3/c6 states in BIOS? See if it stops latency

Ive just disabled all of those in the uefi and its made no differece at all .
Nice and steady low latecncy using DPC Latency checker untill i go on internet then goes through the roof.
Should I re-enable them ?

Yes re enable if it doesn't stop it,if its internet then it points to the lan drivers causing it,are they realtek drivers? Try looking on realteks website they might have newer ones than on asrock site

Its an Atheros Network card and i've got the very latest drivers for it.

can you test without it? using onboard lan just to make sure its your network card thats causing it?

oh,i dont know what else you could try,psu and graphic card if you have one can also affect latency depending on what brand of psu and gpu ect

Do you have XFast LAN (ASRock's custom version of CFOS Speed) installed (might have been an application on the mobo CD or was pre-installed by whomever built your rig) ?
If it is installed then shut it down by killing the process in the task manager (bypassing uninstalling it) and see if that makes a difference. Please post back with your IRQ's if you can to further give us a view of your rig

I'm having same issues with latency but with another mainboard - ASRock Extreme4 Gen3 this really driving me crazy.

Should I start another thread or write it here. Tried almost everything from disabling devices in UEFI (Etron, Sata Controllers, Audio, GPU ...), disconnecting any devices, trying few bioses with different OROMs, changing/uninstalling Intel software : RST, IME, Onboard GPU ...

Normal values are 50-150 microseconds , but in my case it sometimes peaks at 1000-150000 microseconds, distorting and cracking sounds and even video hickups.

The culprint is lan adapter but using it with latest Utorrent + MSE makes it even worse. Now trying to find out if my OS SSD - OCZ V3 or 4x500GB 4Raid0 has something to do with it, but testing and investigating this problem is real pain in the ass.

SaphireX i had the problem before installing the fast lan program so installed it to see if it helped but its the same.

Im attatching a jpeg of my IRQ's and will attatch another in next post.

I recommend that you d/l the free ProcessExplorer and while running it SEE if you can create the circumstances of high latency and capture any bizzare memory manifestations/processes
