i72600k; AsRock Pro Gen 3/Fatal1ty; 16GB Corsair RAM
WD Cav Blk [WDCB] (OS) drive; 2x Seagate XT (storage) [setting up for RAID]
I have installed Win7 onto the WDCB drive and would like to create a RAID1 setup for the two Seagate drives. When I go into the UEFI screen, I select RAID; save+exit; I then hit ctrl+I to create the volume for the storage drives. After I exit, machine reboots and after the UEFI post screen and Intel Rapid Storage post screen, the UEFI post screen splashes on the screen, jumbled, then kicks up a BSOD with the 0x0000007B error.
I did a basic install of Win7 (64bit), did not do the setup w/ RAID install as I wasn't building the OS to be on a RAID array, only the storage. What am I missing? I've done other builds where this method was successful (e.g. Did not "install a driver set for RAID" as the RAID was for storage only).
Anybody have some ideas, suggestions?
cheers!
