  • P67 RAM Issue

    Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 MO
    Intel i7 2600
    CORSAIR CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 - DDR3 1600 16GB kit (4x4G)
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 2GB
    Windows 7 Professional SP1

System runs stablely when 2 of the 4 DIMM slots are filled. Passes memtest and Windows Memory Diagnostic. When 4 modules installed into all 4 DIMM slots, memtest/Windows Memory Diagnostic fails and constant crashes/BSOD in Windows 7 Professional. Have tested each Memory module individually (and DIMM slots individually) and find no faults only when running with all 4 installed. Have updated drivers for appropriate elements. SDRAMs are all same and purchased as 16G kit. DRAM settings in BIOS are set to default timings/voltage. Running at 1033 will get me to windows but with indicated errors above; running at 1600 will not boot to windows at all. Would like to make use of all 4 DIMM slots. Thanks for any advice.

Modified VTT voltage and verified Ram voltage is as spec but still doesn't pass test.

Can test with more qpi/vtt,but no more than 1.2v,test between 1.08-1.2v add two clicks more at a time and test for errors

faulty imc maby ? you should't need more voltage to run at sub 1800 speeds

Thanks. Tested from 1.08 to 1.2 with errors all along the way. This is a brand new build with a new processor, mobo & ram. I'm assuming it's something with the memory controller on the i7 but I haven't the slightest clue how to test.
