Is my board dead?

ASrock Z68 extreme 4, I went in to reinstall windows for a clean install and the power just cuts off on me, and puts me in a brick loop, even when in the bios the power just randomly cuts off, I opened the side panel and the LED on the inside would always read "A3" before the power cuts off.

No settings were changed in the Bios prior to this happening.

You might try:

- Check the power cord to make sure it's firmly seated in both the power supply and the wall/UPS/whatever.

- Check to see if both the 24 and 8 pin power connectors are firmly seated on the motherboard and PS.

- Check to see if anything looks shorted or if mem, CPU and/or PCI cards aren't properly seated. Maybe the case got jarred and something came loose.

- Test the PS with another system.

- Disconnect everything from the MB and the PS (connect only the MB to the PS) and see if it boots into BIOS. Physically remove any PCI cards (use onboard graphics). Try with only 1 stick of RAM.

Or, you might just have a bad board.
