  • Asrock Z68 extreme 4 memory performance

    Hi
My system with Asrock Z68 extreme 4 MB seems fine except memory performance.
    I have a Corsair Kit 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL7 CMX4GX3M2A1600C7.
In Bios I set XMP profile 1 with correct timmings.
But in Windows experience index I got 5.9 for memory performance. Everything else is fine. Can you help me with this? Thanks

try memory on auto forget the xmp and see how that goes.
or use a program like aida 64 or cpu-z or sisoft sandra to read your best memory profile,.For dram voltage, perhaps go a bit higher than default ,just dont go over 1.65V.

hit 1 wait state for your memory if its reading 2, like it should be 1N not 2 N.
nb: your post attachment is invalid, for me at least.

Set all settings auto for memory in bios and nothing change.
Cpu-z reports now 9-9-9-24 and 1T but the same 5.9 memory performance.
This is strange couse a friend of mine which has Asrock P67 extreme 4 has 7.9 for memory performance with cheaper memory.

Maybe the problem is size? More memory installed means higher score. My 8GB (2x4GB) kit 1600MHz is rated 7.8

Re: Asrock Z68 extreme 4 memory performance

Finally with help from my friend i found what to do.
From bios i disabled the intel graphics.
After that memory performance reported is 7.8
Enabling intel graphics back gave me the poor 5.9 memory performance.
          So ...this is the cause.
And I found that it's easier to overclock both the processor and discrete videocard with intel graphics disabled.
I could overclock Asus Radeon 6950 direct CU much more.
Before disabling the intel graphic the sistem become less stable when I tried to overclock discrete graphics.
