880G Extreme3 USB 3 and blue screen

When I installed the NEC MPD720200 USB 3.0 driver it keeps blue screening as it starts up, I had to disable the chip in system properties and it runs fine, Im hoping its a driver issue, but the site still has the same driver and has not been updated:(

Driver Im using is NEC USB 3.0 driver ver:10190

Is there a newer driver I could try?

You could download drivers from:

It is possible that you will have to update also the firmware. (You need to have the correct driver & firmware combination, it is possible that new drivers don't work with very old firmwares). You can get the firmware from the first link. Updating the firmware is not without risk, so all risk is fully of the user.

Note: newer firmware is not always better than the old firmware. So upgrade the firmware only if you have problems.
