Hi, hoping for some help.
I have 4x 2GB sticks of memory, but can only get them working in slots 1 and 2. I've verified that all four sticks work and any combination using the first two slots works fine. Obviously I want to use my full 8GB and in dual channel.
When I try to boot the machine with memory in slot 3 or 4, I get no video output at all. I've tried just slots 1 and 3, 3 by itself, 4 by itself - never works. I have the memory in 1+2 for now.
[I am aware of the Sandy Bridge SATA issue on this board, but if I can get this working it's not a big deal for me. If I have to take the thing apart again I will probably send it back for a new one.]
Here is my system:
CPU: i5-2500k
CPU fan: Coolermaster Hyper 212+
Mobo: ASRock P67 pro3
HDD: 128 GB Crucial C300
RAM: A-Data 4x2GB DDR3 (AX3U1600GB2G9-2G, on ASRock approved list)
PSU: Seasonic X-650
Case: CoolerMaster HAF 922
Video: EVGA GTS450
Thank you for any help.
