  • Intel's P67 Chipset Flaw - Result?

Ok, so I just checked out tons of sites telling us about the P67 Chipset flaw that effects Intel's SATA 2 ports.

What is ASRock going to do about this? I have already ordered my ASRock P67 motherboard :s

I already have Extreme4. I've just moved my SSD and 2 HDD's on SATA3 ports.
No big deal for me. :)

And I guess that ASRock will do whatever Intel decides to do.

I bought my Extreme6 through NewEgg and they have extended my warranty/replacement options another 90 days to allow me to swap the board with no questions asked.

There is not much to do but wait for Intel to release the new chips with the fix implemented and then wait for the board manufacturers to re-create a new revision of their boards. Intel expects to have things out and done by April 2011.

Since Intel made a release and is paying for some of the hassle, I would assume major resellers will support this replacement as well as AsRock charging Intel to eat the costs of doing these RMAs.
