Hey guys, I just set up a new box for my daughter, I'm using used and known to be working dvd writer and hdd's got a new Asrock 4core 1600glan mother board with a q6600, the problem I'm having is the dvd writers that I have tried are getting very slow access, I have tried 2 sata drives and 1 ide all with the same issue, I have tried changing sata ports and i'm getting to the point of pulling out what little hair I have left
when I try and open a disc most times it will bring up the list of contents but when I double click on anything I get a not responding flag and just lock the system up.
So any ideas guys?
