I have just built an HTPC with Asrock H55M Pro mobo with Intel i3-530 cpu and having problems getting passthru TrueHD/DTS MA to my Onkyo TX-SR608 over HDMI. From PowerDVD 10 when playing a Bluray disk from drive or ISO with PDVD set to "Non decoded Dolby Digital...", I can get Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1, but no TrueHD or DTS MA.
All drivers installed from included disk and using TX-SR608 Intel Audio Display as default device in Windows. This plays ok through the appropriate 7.1 speakers.
If I set PDVD to decode, I get LPCM, but it does weird things to the speaker config with DTS.
I would love to get a pointer on where I can get information to resolve this or maybe be told that I'm crazy and this just won't work. Once I get this resolved, I can then tackle the "stutter" issue.
Thanks much,
HS
