I bought A K7VT4A Pro MB on Ebay and installed it in my mother-in-law's computer to replace a burnt out MB. Everything works well except for the internal LAN. i have a constant "Cable Unplugged" message. I know the cable is good. I installed a wireless LAN card and it works well, but I can't get the internal LAN to recognise a connection. The Internal LAN is a VIA Rhine II. I installed the drivers from the MB driver disk...same error. I downloaded and installed the latest driver from the ASROCK website...Same problem. Is there a trick that is not in the MB manual that will get this thing working?

Obviously, noone has a clue as to why the internal nic doesn't recognize a cable plugged in. (I've read this same issue on other threads that were not resolved.) I guess I'll have to go with the PCI NIC instead... Thanks for stopping by........
