I recently bought all new hardware ASRock 880gm-le and AMD Phenom II x2 550 Castillo whenever i try to unlock the other two cores via the bios my computer restarts instantly and provides no display at all, after i reset the cmos everything is fine again. I've check in to it and I do believe that both the motherboard and the cpu support the unlocking ability. But I can't seem to figure it out any ideas?

I'm just guessing but, maybe cores are locked because they don't work properly and therefor they are locked. Just a bad luck with processor, they are individual. Some of them is possible to unlock and some don't.
If i don't understand completely wrong, some of cores don't work correctly and AMD locks it, label that processor to X3 or X2. Can you try unlock one core at the time and try get one locked core to work?
