  • x58 Extreme3 can't boot with Silicon Power xpower ddr3 1600Mhz

    Hi all!

I bought two computer with Asrock x58 Extreme3 in each. The difference between the 2 is the memory.
One with Kingmax 3*2gb memory works well, the other with the Silicon power memory can't boot.
With Kingmax, both can boot, but with the Silicon Power modules, neither can.
I sent them back to the store and they said that they tested them in MSI and Asus MBs and they work well.
I updated my Bios and the problem still exist. Silocon Power and Asrock don't like each other:(.

Any idea? What can I do?

I'm waiting for you answer. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Cronerator,

Following suggestion is for your reference.
1.Please upgrade your BIOS to latest version L1.71, your can get the BIOS from following link : http://forums.tweaktown.com/f80/asrock-beta-bios-39474/
2.Please set the DRAM voltage to higher level, maybe 1.65v to 1.70v.

    Thanks!

    Best Wishes
    Sean
