I've recently been dabbling in some mischief that is beyond my Kung-Fu.
AVG has really come through for me --- I'm not liking occupying my precious resources with an AV, but I tell you I feel very comfortable with the protection AVG is providing me.
Kicked 2 viruses and 2 trojans right into oblivion!
I could'a got the trojans myself, but this is easier:laugh:

The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.
so Mr. C found someone who can beat him in Kung-Fu... senpai broadband
(i don't know what they say their chiefs in Kung-Fu. I think senpai is in karate :?: :p )
PE_PARITE.A also known as PINF
I just couldn't figure out how to stop that POS:confused:
As IExplore.exe was jibbed, the online scans were useless - just kept reinfecting other executables.
Grissoft came through like a champ.
Still, it took me some fancy repair/reinstall to get IE and OE back working. ie. revert to previous/reinstall.
Later got a whiff of downloader.small -- beat that senseless in record time.
Some other trojan was later detected, same result.
I am totally depressed at the lag I get copying between drives and other local functions, but as I said, I do feel quite comfortable.
Ah well, it's just going to have to become more tolerant as the software solution is certainly effective.
still, it's going to take some getting used to
Say, you wouldn't have a cuppa resources I could borrow, would you: peace2:

getting used to AVG? :?:
its the best thing for n00b's Mr. C. now never say that u will need to get used to it :p but yeah its quite understandable that a person like u who never used a software solution would require some time.
btw AVG is not taking much of resources. isn't it? :thumb:
oic!
well if it bothers you too much, try scanning with it regularly rather than running it all the time.
that will help! though usually it never takes anything more than 2-3MB.
just get Norton with *a program some people link to warez *
imho you would be much better off without an anti-virus than having norton!
its the best thing to use when u want your system to crash, heat and slap u in ur face with numerous problems!
