  • How can you make xp corp to boot from cd

    I have tried everthing I can not make The xp corp edition cd boot from cd

    (1)Made floppies and it didn't work
    (2) Used nero with boot iso no luck

    Could someone direct me to a good link on how to make this bootable.

    The windows XP CD is a bootable CD by default. If you can access your BIOS, try setting the device boot order to:

    1. Floppy
    2. CD ROM
    3. HDD
    etc..

    Just make sure the CD ROM is before HDD and it will look for, and use the XP CD.

    If not, check out www.bootdisk.com and check there for info.

      if your cdrom is your first in boot order,( like stated befor) and still cant get it to work try this http://www.windowsxp.nu/bootcd/. i had to use this one to get my notebook to boot on a xp cd http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/

        I changed the boot order in the bios to cdrom
        I even made boot floppies from http://download.microsoft.com/downlo..._EN_PRO_BF.EXE

        It did not recognize the corp edition
        The only way I can install is to load Windows 98 and do the upgrade the expert route.

        The copy I have can not boot

          Here's a link with instructions and drivers for making a generic boot floppy that will make your cd rom drive work. Then you can run setup on the cd.
