  • WinXP Corp - Can't change key

I'm having trouble with Win XP Corp and the FCKGW key. Went here :-

and followed instructions. No matter what I do to the registry at

    HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu
    rrent Version\WPAEvents

I still get screen saying Windows is already activated after using run command -

    %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

Now when I reboot the registry has returned to its previous value. If I run the xpsp1.zip key changer I simply get the same 'Already activated' screen

    Help please

In the oobetimer key, did you change one of the values, or did you delete one of the values? Because you should change the value, then it should work, at least it did on mine

Just tried that with same result, but thanks for the suggestion.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the logon. Might that explain why the original value is back after a reboot. I log on to my single user machine as administrator. Should I log on as something else in order to change the registry?
