    I am having the following error on win2K, and the PC reboots itself every once in a while.

    0x0000009c (0x00000001, 0x00000000, 0xb2000000, 0x00000115). Any suggestions on this is highly appreciated. I have changed the power supply, RAM, and fan for the CPU, and even then it reboots. tested the hardware one card by another and the problem remains same. It's a DELL dimension 4100 with 512 MB RAM, GE force 32 graphics card.

    Microsoft support is here to help you with Microsoft products. Find how-to articles, videos, and training for Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, Windows, Surface, and more.

    Doesn't hint at much, except that there's a hardware error. Try memtest (from my signature) and try switching out anything you haven't already.

    When did this start happening?

      This it a typical Intel only error (happens often enough and is a hardware issue) and this site, Troubleshooting Windows STOP Messages (Yawg, why not think about linking this site in your sig as it gives better info on most exceptions), gives a slightly better idea on what to look for;
      This is a hardware issue: an unrecoverable hardware error has occurred. The parameters have different meanings depending on what type of CPU* you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU).
      * The parameters only differ depending on the type of Intel processor used and I've never seen this error on any AMD CPU in over decade of working with them
