  • Registry Edit Help

Well, I've been playing around with the registry a lot lately, and just now for some reason my start menu is a little screwy. When I go into "all programs", it doesn't show all my programs, but a selective few... So, I was wondering where the registry edit for this would be?

nothing wrong with tweaking on the registry, but there are a few simple rules one should follow:

1..export a copy of the key that you are going to be changing so you can import it back in should you need to.

2..write down what the values are to the keys you are going to change, so you can change them back.

3..make a restore point PRIOR to the changes, name it so you will know which one it is, restore should the changes not work.

sorry i can't help you any more than this.

No biggie...But lesson learned. I just cut and pasted the c:\documents and settings\admin\startmenu\programs into mine. All set.
