I started with a clean, brand new hard drive. The computer seems to be able to find the hard drive fine. When i put in the windows 2000 install disk, it formats it to NTFS and then copies the files over. The computer reboots, but instead of launching the hard drive, i get this message "Could'nt open boot partition to check for signiture" and it loads setup on the cd rom. Another thing is the hard drive can't be found once this happens. I go into the bios, and it says none for ide hd and when it posts, it returns none. I have seen it say WD.... but it seems everytime i try to install windows, i screws up (which is alot now). I've reformatted several times... I dont know what to do. I think it is the cd. Please help.
