Last night windows XP started hanging on the loading screen and then resetting the computer. I couldn't get anywhere with it so I did a complete format and reinstall of Windows XP. When the installer got to the installing devices section I get a blue screen with the message.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The error at the bottom is:

    ***STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I have searched this forum and there is another user with a similar blue screen but a different error code. I have tried the solution offered in that thread (taking out and reseating memory chips) but it doesn't work.

I am completely stuck and would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks,

    Bob
