  • opening link makes for a small window

When I click on a link it opens the new window in a small one.
I read about this somewhere, where you can adjust the size then press F1 or something and all subsequent windows will open bigger.
    Can someone remind me!!!
    Thanks, a bunch.
I am back sort of for those that knew me, and the one that I owe a favor too.
I have been busy with Dr.s appts and getting treatment for my back.

Can someone help me. Its really annoying when a small window opens up!!!!
    Thanks again,
    Chez

    which browser are you using?

glad to see you back Chez :thumb:

*generally speaking, browsers will open windows in the size the last one was closed in. Next time it opens a small window, resize it and close all windows. Restart the browser and see if it still happens :)

Open one page with IE... Right click a link, and open in new window... Close the original window, behind the little window... Hold down the Ctrl key and reisize the new window with your mouse to fill the screen (do not use maximize button)... Release key and mouse button... done. All IE windows should now open to "big". :- )

        All good advice.

I think the most foolproof method is to use software for the purpose.
        IE New Window Maximizer

It's free and loved by most everyone who has tried it.

I'll have you know that Mr. Tweak himself thought quite highly of this freeware the first time I posted it:p

This is a common question/complaint about IE, and I've addressed it in my 2nd XP guide here. I even have a link to Autosizer which is another IE maximizing software app :)
