AudioCatalystand Winamp Freezing in Win2K

If I try to play a cd in winamp3 and when I open up AudioCatalyst(which tries to access CD drives) the programs are freezing. I am running win2k.

I first thought it may have been ASPI layer but i checked and it seemed to be working fine, but i reinstalled everything, still the same thing.

Any Ideas?

if both programs are trying to access CD and they are trying to play it, don't you think that they will hang each other...:?:
its like accessing one file from two different programs. ever tried doing so even in MS word...forget about playing music.
i think you should try to disable access from atleast one of the applications and then try to play it with just one of them.
