Outlook 2002-How do I?

Ok, this seems like a really stupid question but I can't figure out how to remove the Outlook icon from my desktop. (not Outlook Express)

It isn't a normal shortcut.

I have already created a shortcut in the quick launch bar and would like the desktop icon removed.

Anyone know how?

IF this is a desktop icon were talkin bout can't you just right click on it and select delete.:confused:

It's not an actual shortcut but a link to the application itself.

I found a registry setting that allows you to hide it on the desktop.

Another way without going into the registry is in Display properties, Desktop tab hit Customize Desktop. Then in Desktop Clea-up Follow the wizard then You can place the icon in a folder wich you can then move the foldewr off the desktop. This works for most icons that I have wanted to get off the desktop.

steve's way is a nice one but that will add a folder on your desktop which means another icon.
actually i don't think that it would matter much even if you delete the shortcut.
anyways if you don't like shortcuts on your desktop (like me) and you want to get rid of them for gud, the you can do this...simply right click on the desktp and untick "Show desktop icons" under "Arrange Icons By".
but if you delete the icon of outlook it won't hurt you in anyways.
