how to audio capture?

I would like to capture audio sound bytes from my dvd's. Is there a program I can download(or buy cheap) that will alow me to record small clips of sound from my dvd drive to a folder in my hard drive.just in case it matters:

Use Creative Recorder, which comes with the Audigy software package. Set it to "What U Hear" and it'll literally record whatever comes out of your speakers.

thanx I'll try it! I didn't install most of the stuff that came with the card because I didn't think i'd use it. now that I know what it is i'll install recorder.
