Help wanted: AVI files to JPEGs

hi there!
I've got a FujiFinepix F601Z camera, and I have taken a few video / movie frames with it.
Trouble is, I don't know how to grab the individual stills from the AVI file so that I can print out the pictures / frames and save them also as JPEG files.
I have PaintShop - Jasc - and cannot afford the legal version of Photoshop.

anyone got any ideas / suggestions / help?

erm, yes, but it's not very user friendly is it?

I have to admit, I don't mind too much paying (a little bit) for professional software, but I would like some recommendations first.
