The CPU usage lies around 2-20 % when this happens. But the HDD activity LED glows constantly for some reason. I'll try running chkdsk in case something is wrong with my drive.

Well, I would first check and make sure you have the latest Music Match program. I've had some programs go on the fritz and not allow the computer to shut down. This caused a few more programs to get mad. After a while, it showed a box that offered to shut down the program and some others that were malfunctioning. Other than that, I would just uninstall the old program and then reinstall the latest possible version (if you don't want to spend money, you can always download it).

I would first check and make sure you have the latest Music Match program.

I would if I could, but Philips supplies a special version, which hasn't been updated for a couple of years, and the standard version won't work..

Ok, I went back to an older version, and it seems to be working now.
