If you don't want to install a full suite just to view Excel files, Microsoft has viewers and converters for many of their product line. They tend to be small installs and allow you to view and print files.

This is the one I use - view capabilities only;
I know it works fine with Windows 98 & XP.The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.
