Photoshop File Load Error!! HELP!!

I've been working with Photoshop editing a JPG file. Saved it then exited to open another file. Tried to open previous file and I get this message.
"Could not open "J:\Garden\plan.jpg" because an invalid SOS, DHT, DQT, or EOI JPEG marker is found before a JPEG SOI marker."

Please someone help me, I can't loose this file and I can't start again. :cry:

did you try opening this file in some other program and saving it again. seems like the picture has been corrupted.
try something like irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/ and save the picture again. i m not very sure but u might be lucky.

this is a project for school?
you might wanto consider having multiple file backups, also working with a .psd is alot easier.

Yeah, it's a project for school.

Couldn't recover the file :(
But luckily I did backup another copy which was 1/3 completed. So I had to pick up from there.
