i used Opera's email client

and apparently didn't fill out the information correctly re: pop and smtp........now everytime i log on to the internet it creates a pop up box heading generic error/saying my pop3 server wouldn't connect, network problems?.........what a drag..........anyone know how to reverse this, or how to re-establish my setting in Opera's email client?

i would have to guess that the pop3 acct is typed wrong in the box

should be like this pop3.knology.net or smtp.knology.net just replace knology.net to your isp and then double check to make sure your username/password is set correct as well.

First of all, what settings did you put in for the POP3 / SMTP servers?

it trys to route you through their mail client........i must have been a little blase about the process of using it.......finding the tools o edit the address was the bone of contention........finally found a manage accounts tab and made the adjustment.......thx, for the replies, problem solved :cheers:
