  • Where can I buy these GPUs?

    Hello everyone.

Currently I have ASUS HD6770 (EAH6770) and I've decided to upgrade it. My budget is about 400$. I've already submitted my question to "Ask the experts" section and got a reply to get a Sapphire HD 7970 or GeForce GTX 670. The problem is that in my country the price for those GPUs is, for some reason, much higher than in US or any online stores like newegg. To demonstrate how different the prices are, I'm just gonna say that nVidia GTX660 Ti costs about 483$ here. For 483$, in US stores for example, I could buy HD7970 or GTX670.

Anyway, my question is, where can I buy one of these GPUs (HD 7970/GTX 670) for a reasonable price with worldwide shipping available? Also, I'm open for any other suggestions on which GPU to get instead of the one I currently have.

    Thank you.

I always do a Google search before asking a question :)

I wasn't able to find a site that had the desired hardware + worldwide shipping. I thought I got lucky with TigerDirect because in their FAQ section it said they ship to my country too. After I registered (bunch of countries were missing from the drop down menu during the registration, including mine), yet again, I wasn't able to select my country as a shipping location. If I find anything, I'll post here for sure. Until then, suggestions are welcome.

Re: Where can I buy these GPUs?

Too many forum members don't search the web when they need answers that aren't easy to find.

I assume that you've checked out European or Australian businesses.
Last year I worked with an Israeli forum member who wanted to buy a high end video card for a more reasonable price. I could buy the card from Newegg but the problem was there were too many fees to deal with, such as bank transfer or paypal fees, shipping, insurance, customs, etc. A big part of the problem was how long it would take for his payment to clear before I could buy the video card and ship it to him. He finally found a business that could ship his new high end card quicker and with a slightly lower overall cost. His brand new card arrived within the specified time and everything worked out well for him.

I'll send him an email and ask him to contact you with the details, where he can post in your thread or contact you using the forum's private message option.

Re: Where can I buy these GPUs?

I received an email from the Israeli forum member about the company he used to buy his video card from overseas. They import merchandise from Europe and America for Israeli citizens.

I sent a PM to the OP with their web address and email address and suggested that it might be worthwhile to contact them and see if they know of any similar companies that can arrange shipment and make all arrangements from a lower priced overseas source.

Re: Where can I buy these GPUs?

Thank You for the help but I had no luck with that either. The best price for HD7970 (GIGABYTE edition) I've found so far (that I can actually get in my country) is 605$ and if I don't find a better offer soon I think I'm just gonna go for it.
