What I wouldhave done was....

    get SCSI devices......

waited for the Nv30 and Quadro'd it

gotten a ViewSonic Professional series monitor or trinitron

gotten a Dual-chip SuperMicro board with the onboard ultra SCSI :) hehehe

    and crucial memory

then again this might cause you to fall outside the $4000 bracket lol

Even though a lot of companies are US based doesn't mean the product comes from there. In most cases 97% of all items we get are assembled and packed in SE Asia and delivered straight from there.

But yes it really boils down to the discounts available to resellers in countries with high populations.

This country maybe very large but most of it is inhospitable and extremely dry (saying that this continent is about 85% desert, or almost, doesn't leave a great deal of room for mountains, lakes, rivers, places for ppl to live, grow food, forrests, etc,..). :(

Yeh, we have a VERY low population density since most of the country is inhospitable to humans, the cities however are getting overcrowded, everywhere i look these days town houses are being built near where i live and the traffic in incrasing 10 fold as is the crime.
