By now you already opt for an non flat panel monitor. These monitors are by far inferior to the regular monitor types. That is if you do consider price to be important.

I've got an Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451 A902MT myself. I got lucky with my retailer and payed only $ 400,- for it.

I am very pleased with it. I especially like it sort of wide screen shape. This is ideal to place side bars in photoshop & watch DVD's. : party ha

I've been using Viewsonic's TFT screen (VG191) for a few months now and I must say it beets the hell out of my Sony TFT. That said, for CRTs, Sony is almost always in the top3...

          Cheers,
          Charles

Looks to be the new item to me. Maybe I should order it now incase they change their mind and go back to $500. haha

[edit: I called Sony and they said its just a sale and will be going back to $499 soon. He said he didn't have a date but was told that the sale price would not stay. Maybe they're trying to move inventory so they can release a new HMD display?]

I called back to order and the sales rep told me that that is the new price and it would not be going back up. Nevertheless, I'm still ordering it cause it is a great deal. A 19" Sony Trinitron for $299! New! :thumb:

:) I think you made a good choice, but you tell us!! I've bought Viewsonics because I've found them inexpensive with decent quality. We usually get a deal by ordering them in bulk at work and tacking on our personal order at the same time.
