I got a USB DVD/CDRW as a gift, do I still need internal one for the PC I will build?

    Thx

To my knowlage you do not physically NEED an internal disc drive to run the computer...just make sure the external is uPnP or you would need drivers for it...which would require a cd-rom drive.

But it should be, so far as I know all USB devices are uPnP...at least the ones ive come across.

AS long as the motherboard supports booting from USB and the device is plug-and-play as BinnY said, an external device will work just fine.

Yes, if your BIOS is setup right.
