I have been searching for a while on the net for an used laptop and the best prices that i have found are IBM's on Tigerdirect.ca. One of my friend told me to stay the hell away from those IBM laptop, saying that they have compatibility issues with some windows OS like 98 and you need to get specific drivers from IBM. I want to know what you think about it? My budget is at 800$ CAD max. I want a cheap one because i will take it with me everyday at my university and i don't want to bother if i scratch it or bump it! Also i want to install Linux on it, like Mandrake 10.
